Journeys Beyond the Ordinary

From walking safaris that connect you to the wilderness, to the drama of the great migrations, SafariSeven® curates life-changing journeys tailored to your passions.

Walking safaris

Pioneered by Norman Carr in the 1950s, the walking safari remains one of the most soul-stirring ways to explore Africa. Led by a highly trained guide, you step into the wilderness on foot, learning to read tracks, follow scents, and tune in to the bush’s subtle sounds.

Face-to-face encounters with elephants, giraffes, rhino—and, on occasion, big cats—make each walk unforgettable. Zambia is often called the home of walking safaris, yet Madikwe, the Okavango Delta, and Zimbabwe’s Hwange National Park all offer superb experiences. In East Africa, walking across the Serengeti or Maasai Mara with a Maasai warrior brings history and culture to life.

Conservation Safaris

For travellers passionate about protecting Africa’s heritage, conservation safaris combine adventure with meaningful impact. Activities may include rhino notching, elephant collaring, spending time with anti-poaching teams, or supporting eco-certified lodges and community projects.

At SafariSeven®, we design itineraries that consider every detail—from low-impact travel to accommodation that uplifts local people while preserving fragile ecosystems.

Migration Safaris

Witness nature’s grand spectacles. Each year, about 1.5 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra trek over 480 km (300 mi) through Tanzania and Kenya in search of greener plains—predators close behind, river crossings alive with drama.

Botswana’s Makgadikgadi Zebra Migration—around 15,000 animals crossing shimmering salt pans—is equally striking. For birders, Southern Africa’s Wet Season (October–April) brings a surge of migratory species arriving from Europe and North Africa.
